Discovering the drivers of arthropod-borne and zoonotic virus emergence

Hanley lab members investigate the ecology, evolution and control of emerging and resurging viruses using a combination of field studies, laboratory experiments, and mathematical modeling. At present we focus on the following arthropod-borne and zoonotic viruses: dengue, Zika, chikungunya, yellow fever, vesicular stomatitis, West Nile, St. Louis encephalitis, and Sin Nombre.
